“The Complete Testament of the Martyrs of Zanjan Province” Book Series Published
Navid Shahed reports that the newly published volumes—edited and compiled by Nasrin Khademi Khaledi—feature the full, unabridged testaments of martyrs from across Zanjan Province.
The project aims to preserve and provide public access to primary-source documents considered part of the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Islamic Revolution and the Iran–Iraq War. The two new volumes focus specifically on the final written messages of Zanjan’s martyrs.
The fourth volume includes the testaments of 96 martyrs, while the fifth volume contains the writings of 88 martyrs.
To ensure the reliability of the archival material, all documents underwent verification, and their essential biographical data were cross-checked with relevant departments of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs. While the series does not analyze the contents of the testaments, each chapter opens with a section titled “Selected Testament Highlights”, showcasing key themes and significant excerpts.
Each entry is accompanied by standardized biographical information, including the martyr’s name, date and place of birth, parents’ names, education level, military unit, date and place of martyrdom, cause of death, and burial site.
